La semana pasada tuvimos la oportunidad de mochilear por Suiza. Una mezcla de emociones, idiomas, culturas, monedas... Medios de transporte, ocupaciones, profesiones. Un país muy multicultural.

Después de casi un año lejos de casa las cosas han cambiado mucho. No importa con quién estés, no importa dónde vivas, si no es tu tierra natal estás exiliado. Así sea de forma temporal.

El exilio te hace comprender con mayor facilidad tu propio país, la realidad en la que vivías, la realidad en la que viven otros. Con el más profundo amor a Venezuela, siento que necesito vivir más tiempo en el exterior. Para formarme, para realizarme, para independizarme, para vivir mejor.

Nadie puede ayudar a nadie si no vive plenamente. Cambiar nuestro pueblo, nuestra ciudad, nuestro país empieza por nuestra realización personal. Intentar hacerlo en otro orden es patrioterismo, conlleva a frustraciones, improvisaciones y estrés.

Es difícil saber a dónde voy, intentar planificar más allá del mediano plazo es poco conveniente. Por ahora, me conformo con recordar qué pasó la semana pasada: recorrido en tren por Suiza, incluyendo Berna, Zürich, Zermatt, Locarno y Thun.

7 días de mochileos logré resumir en un video de 5 minutos, con 29 fotografías, todas de mi autoría. La música de fondo es "With or Without You" de U2.

Last week we had the opportunity to backpack through Switzerland. A mix of emotions, languages, cultures, currencies... Transportations, professions, occupancies. A very multicultural country.

After almost a year away from home things are quite different. No matter with whom you are, where do you live, if you are not in your homeland you are in the exile. Even if it's temporarily.

Exile makes you understand more easily your own country, the reality in which you used to live, other peoples' reality. With the deepest love to Venezuela, i feel that i need to live abroad longer. To develop and realize myself, to become independent, to live better.

Nobody can help others without living a plenty life. Changing our town, our city, our country starts by our personal realization. Trying to do it in another order is extreme patriotism, leads to frustrations, improvisation and stress.

It's hard for me to know where will i go, to try to plan too far ahead is not convenient. For the moment, it's enough for me to remember what happened last week: a train tour through Switzerland, including Bern, Zürick, Zermatt, Locarno and Thun.
